Are you a girl, nonbinary, gender-fluid, and trans youth age 9-13 with lots of musical ideas to bring to life?
Hopewell Music and the Composers Institute have teamd up to create the Crazy Ideas Institute, a composition camp to learn about and explore music creation and sound in a supportive, female led space. No previous musical or composition experience is necessary.
Why Crazy Ideas Institute?
CII director, Dr. Sarah Miller's passion is to encourage and empower young girls-plus to make their own musical pieces by using the "why not" method. Approaching all kinds of sounds as equals. Rules of music composition are only guide-lines to start creating crazy, improbable, beautiful and surprising musical compositions.
Campers will:
Camp will be held at Hopewell Music 9am-12pm from August 29 - September 2 and is open to girls, nonbinary, and trans youth ages 9-13. Please email ellie@hopewellmusic.com if you have any questions about camp or registration.

- Construct instruments and explore the acoustics of sound.
- Build melodies and learn different ways to notate music.
- Create and share music with other campers
- Have fun!
