What is a typical day in COI?
- Learn how to use multiple DAWs (digital audio workstations) as creative tools. Instruction will be given on a wide variety of DAW platforms giving you experience editing and mixing tracks. You will also have two 20-minute one-on-one tutorials with one of our Creative Faculty members. Additional tutorials available for $25 each.
- Participate in one-hour online interactive Labs that put a wide variety of music theories into practice.
- Collaborate with our featured performers and other composers in your cohort on your creative project. During the first Forum, you will talk with our featured performers about your ideas.
During the second Forum, they will read down first sketches of your music and give you feedback during an extended live zoom session.
By the end of the week, they will record music you've written and then mix those tracks. - Mix all of your tracks during the last weekend as you complete your creative project.
- Bond with the other composers in the Institute during daily informal, "no agenda" gatherings called Lounges. They are an opportunity to ask questions and get answers, to initiate partnerships, to exchange idea and discuss and demonstrate music you admire or that you've created.
This is another paragraph. It will describe the activities, outcomes, new music and collaborations you will experience.
